World Class Northern Ontario Fishing Expedition

Go fishing in Northern Ontario! One of Canada’s premier fishing destinations! Catch some northern pike, salmon, walleye, bass and speckled trout in the abundent and beautiful lakes, rivers and streams found in Northern Ontario.

Start your Northern Ontario Fish and Fry adventure at DNR Sporting Goods in Thunder Bay, Ontario Canada, where they will set you up all the Rods, Reels and Tackle you will need to embark upon your fishing adventure. After you have purchased this new equipment head over to Archie’s Fishing Charters for a 6hr Fishing Charter to test it all out. Archie’s Fishing Charters is located on Thunder Bay’s Marina and provides a great view of Thunder Bay from the water. While taking in the great view fish for the great Chinook salmon, rainbow trout and lake trout.

Once Archie's 6hr charter is complete and you have broken in your new equipment spend the night at the world-famous Prince Arthur Waterfront Hotel an old Canadian National Railway hotel built in 1911 located along Thunder Bay’s waterfront and in the Downtown Heart of the Harbour. The Prince Arthur Hotel boasts a spectacular view of Lake Superior and the Sleeping Giant as well as full-size indoor swimming pool, whirlpool & saunas.

After a night on the town in the downtown heart of the harbour head out to the wilderness and spend 3 nights at Amberlite Lodge located just outside the town Kakabeka Falls. While traveling through Kakabeka be sure to stop in at Kakabeka Falls Provincal Park to view the "Niagara of the North" 40m tall Kakabeka Falls.

Amberlite Lodge on Lake Weikwabinonaw is a haven for nature lovers and is a place to be explored and discovered. This incredible lake with over 50 islands provides a perfect habitat for an abundance of Small Mouth Bass, prized Walleye and large Northern Pike.

After an enjoyable three nights stay at Amberlite head up to Atikokan, Ontario and stay at Camp Quetico which has taken pride in pleasing fisherman with first-class dining and accommodation. Spend two nights in Camp Quetico modern cottages and motel style units with daily maid service and receive dinner on the day of arrival and breakfast on the day of departure as well a shore lunch while out fishing on 40 lakes in an aluminium boat complete with motor, gas and storage for fish.

After a great time at Camp Quetico make your way back to the Thunder Bay area and stop at the Eagle Ridge Trout Ponds where you can fish for rainbow trout and bass in a relaxing environment in which everyone has a chance of catching something!
